My inspiration comes from a romantic yearning for flying that is deeply associated with traditional Chinese culture. The idea of flying evokes a kind of weightless and mysterious beauty that designers appreciate. I hope to integrate this feeling into the design of cheongsam, highlighting the romance of flying.

The innovative aspect of this design is in the fabric itself. The pattern on the fabric is hand-painted by the designer imitating flying ribbons, and then printed into fine cloth to make the clothes. The colour is rich, gorgeous and unique. We add flounces to the cuffs of the cheongsam. The lines of the waves accentuate the elegance of women’s bodies and evoke the ebullience of flying.
